Terms of Service
Last updated: May 22, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of InnerFrame, operated by InnerFrame LLC ("InnerFrame," "we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What InnerFrame is
InnerFrame is a personality assessment and self-insight tool. It offers:
- A 5-minute personality assessment that produces a 7-letter frame code
- A written profile describing how you operate
- Frame Bot — an AI chat assistant trained on InnerFrame methodology
- Connections — a tool for adding people in your life and seeing how your frames compare
- AI-generated insights about your relationships
We may add, change, or remove features over time. We'll do our best to give notice of meaningful changes that affect paid users.
2. Eligibility
To use InnerFrame, you must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws of your jurisdiction. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Your account
You need an account to access most features. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password secure
- All activity that happens under your account
- Providing accurate, current information
- Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access
You may not share your account credentials, sell or transfer your account, or let someone else use your account without our permission.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Some features (full profile access, Frame Bot, Connections insights) require a paid plan. We offer:
- One-time profile purchase: a single payment that grants permanent access to your full written profile (and a downloadable PDF).
- Subscription: a recurring monthly or annual payment that unlocks all features including Frame Bot, Connections, and AI insights.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices are shown in US dollars unless otherwise noted, exclusive of taxes you may owe in your jurisdiction.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account page on the web (Manage subscription → opens Stripe's Customer Portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then, then your account moves to the canceled state.
Refunds
Subscription payments are generally non-refundable. If you believe you've been charged in error or have an exceptional circumstance, contact us at innerframetests@gmail.com and we'll review your request on a case-by-case basis.
Price changes
We may change prices for subscriptions with at least 30 days' notice via email. Price changes take effect at your next renewal. You may cancel before the new price applies if you don't want to continue.
5. Free preview
Anyone can take the assessment without an account and see a free preview of their frame type — that part is free forever. The full profile and all subscriber features require payment as described in Section 4.
6. AI content disclaimer
Specifically, AI-generated content from InnerFrame:
- Is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. If you are in distress or considering self-harm, contact a licensed mental health professional or crisis service immediately (in the US, call or text 988). InnerFrame is not a substitute for professional care.
- Is not legal, financial, or career advice. Decisions about your career, relationships, finances, or legal matters should involve qualified professionals.
- May contain inaccuracies. AI systems can produce confident-sounding output that is wrong or misleading. Use your own judgment.
- Is generated, not curated. We don't review each piece of AI content before you see it.
7. About the assessment and frame profiles
Specifically:
- Not a clinical or diagnostic tool. The assessment does not diagnose any mental-health condition, personality disorder, or medical condition. Frame codes and profile descriptions are interpretive — not diagnoses.
- Not peer-reviewed or scientifically validated. The InnerFrame methodology draws on long-standing personality frameworks (including Jungian principles) plus a proprietary Behavioral Overlay. It has not been validated by peer-reviewed clinical research, and we make no claim that it predicts behavior, performance, or outcomes with scientific accuracy.
- Not a substitute for professional evaluation. If you want a clinical personality assessment, please consult a licensed psychologist or mental-health professional. InnerFrame is not designed to replace that.
- Not appropriate for high-stakes decisions. Don't use InnerFrame results as the sole or primary basis for decisions about hiring, firing, promotions, custody, medical care, legal matters, or anything else where being wrong has serious consequences. The Service is a self-reflection tool, not an evaluation tool.
- Self-reported and probabilistic. The assessment is based on your own answers in a short questionnaire. Results reflect your responses on a given day, not an objective measurement, and may shift over time as you change.
- Frame profile content is interpretive. The written profiles describe patterns and tendencies. They are general descriptions, not guarantees about how you (or anyone with the same code) will think, feel, or behave in any given situation.
By using the Service you acknowledge that you understand these limitations and will use InnerFrame results accordingly.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or resell the Service or its content
- Attempt to access another user's data, exploit security vulnerabilities, or interfere with the Service's operation
- Use Frame Bot or our other AI features to generate harmful, defamatory, harassing, or illegal content
- Send spam, abusive, or unwanted communication via our invite system
- Impersonate someone else, misrepresent your relationship to another user, or submit fraudulent payment information
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, headless browsers) to access the Service without explicit permission
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.
9. Intellectual property
What we own
The InnerFrame methodology, frame type definitions, frame profile content, software, designs, trademarks, and the InnerFrame name and logo are owned by InnerFrame LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
What you own
You own the personal information you give us — your name, email, assessment answers, connection notes, chat messages, and any feedback you send. You give us a limited license to use that information to provide the Service to you, to improve the Service in aggregate, and as described in our Privacy Policy.
License to you
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or in cases of suspected fraud or security risk. We'll generally try to give notice before terminating an account.
On termination: your access ends, your data is handled per our Privacy Policy, and any outstanding subscription continues to bill through the end of the current period (you can cancel separately to stop future charges).
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that the assessment results, frame profile content, or AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will InnerFrame, our officers, employees, contractors, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless InnerFrame from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
14. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and InnerFrame agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Weber County, Utah, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves or as the law changes. When we make a meaningful change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you via email or in-app banner at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the change takes effect indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Miscellaneous
- Severability: if any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
- No waiver: our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: you may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
- Entire agreement: these Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and InnerFrame regarding the Service.
